Adela (Adelita) is a first generation Mexican-American and Northern California native. Adela’s professional career in the beauty industry began almost 20 years ago during her time at San José State University. Working to support herself financially at what began as a side job at a MAC cosmetics store, quickly blossomed into a full blown career as a pro makeup artist, and continued to book work in the fashion industry and high-profile clients.
Since that time Adela has achieved multiple milestones in her career including becoming a licensed esthetician, a successful traveling makeup artist, and master lash and cosmetic tattoo artist. She established her first beauty studio in 2016, having developed the entire beauty brand’s look & feel, website, and design. By 2019 Adela opened her second studio, then rebranded and expanded into what we now know as COSMOBOX in 2022.
Adela’s development of her entire business, from independent market research and branding design to training and operations, is what makes COSMOBOX special. And her precision and attention to detail as an artist has allowed her to remain one of the best and well-rounded beauty experts in the San Francisco Bay Area.
